When Robert Morales arrived in Tallahassee, Florida to begin his freshman year in college, he missed the traditional cuban foods his mother prepared all her life. So he found himself on the phone with his mother constantly, asking for her recipes. Most of mom's dishes called for "a little bit of this, a little bit of that," so Robert experimented until his meals tasted just right.
Robert eventually opened the first Black Bean Cuban Cuisine Restaurant. Just like Robert's own dishes, the Black Bean's food is cooked fresh, and the portions are, to say the least, grande.
Black Bean Cuban Cuisine also offers samples to try before you buy so you are always happy with your choices. At the Thomasville Road location, Happy Hour is everyday 4-7p featuring 2 for 1, and they always have a batch of HOMEMADE SANGRIA.
